What did you mean by nope? All I said is that when he's doing his demos that he's been using the ATI9700. Also what do you mean that they wish they would switch to RDRam or at least DDR? DDR400 due out by early next year shows a significant advantage over the fastest RDRam which is technically maxed at the moment. Not to mention the insane licensing fees that RDRam has.

I've had no problem with the TDK 2x media in the 104 and 105 superdrives. Also, the Apple 2x and 4x media work as advertised.

Did you even bother to go to the WPC website and read about them, or is this simply some knee jerk reaction you're parroting from a right wing bloviator?
The name of the group is sort of odd, but reading through it, they are taking a different approach to racism and that is to be commended.
Somehow given your history here, I doubt you'd have problems with the seminar if it concerned right wing principles.
What part of my "history" would suggest that?
I have problems with ANY superfluous misuse of funds, be it a seminar for "White Privilege" or a Seminar for "poor hunting" or whatever "right-wing principle"you are imagining. School is for teaching Reading Riting and Rithmetic. NOT Social engineering, be it engineering for all out cut-throat capitalism or all-out make believe communism. Teach them Reading skills. Writing skills. Math skills. Hell, I even support funding for arts in the schools, despite what you garnered from my "history here".
As far as your initial dismissal based on my source, I read that article as well as the piece on the Start Tribune, HARDLY "right-wing" publication.
If you were trying to take home some meaty information about the, let' say, Koch brothers, would you go to their website as your course?
Anyways, I navigated away from their site as soon as I came across this gem: Whites need to acknowledge and work through the negative historical implications of ‘Whiteness’ and create for ourselves a transformed identity as White people committed to equity and social change...To teach my White students and my own children...that there are different ways of being White, and that they have a choice as White people to become champions of justice and social healing. ~Gary Howard
All this being said, I do not doubt that racism and bigots are alive and well in our country and every other country across the globe. I simply think it is a bit preposterous to funnel funds away from the legitimate education mission. If this was being done in Georgia or Mississippi, I would be a bit more open to the idea, but the idea that Minneapolis, MN is intolerant actually blows my mind. Our city is consistently ranked among the most gay-friendly, and I imagine it is pretty similar in other regards.

The more I speak to these people the more annoyed I get.AA have always been good to me. I've been with them 25 years. Do what the guy above said, get an estimate from a dealer ASAP and give it to the RAC with no comment. You could even hire a car for the trip and charge that, too. They haven't got a leg to stand on.

The El Capitan case has had a good run, but it needs to be put out to pasture already. It's a good design, but it's now stylistically behind the times. I wouldn't mind seeing a new case in the spirit of the Xserve, thicker (to accomodate more expansion cards) but not as wide as the Xserve, with a brushed aluminum front panel and the ability to be mounted either horizontally or vertically. Kind of like a more expandable LC form factor.

Si, and I don't mind you doing it. I just don't want this thread getting steered in a different direction just in case it is relevant and useful to someone else.
*goes in corner, remains overprotective*
I guess I'm confused on how that is steering in a different direction, your thread isn't based on one certain case....

I don't know if they're hard to find or not but my local Walmart has most of them in stock. If anyone wants one, I'll only charge actual cost + shipping. I've been a seller on eBay for many years. PM me if interested.

Music preferences are something that come and go, but at the time you posted your recommendation, you did like it. Personally, I think the post should stay simply because so much of music likes and dislikes are transitory in nature. It would be nice to edit the post and say you no longer like it, but I hardly see the point in deleting the post. Just my 2cents....

Not true, Apple usually has an update in the fall months for the MBPs. As other's have stated if you need it now, buy now. There is some talk of a redesign of the macbook pros, so who know is in store. That said new versions can sometimes have some quirks that need to be worked out as well.

We write about music we like. I'm a big fan of David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Velvet Underground, The Stokes, White Stripes, etc, etc... so we'll probably cover a bunch of albums from all of those people and more. We also cover important events in the cities we live in, those being DC and Pittsburgh respectively.

Hey Guys,
I want to be able to disable local snapshots in build 11A444d, as it is messing up the Time Machine background.
How is this related to local snapshots? I'm confused that just looks like a bug in time machine itself. Local snapshots in the current build can't be turned off that I am aware of.

Don't pay for RAM. OWC and transintl are very reputable.
I don't have any experience with SuperBiz, but I will say this:
Paying for a warranty for something like RAM is a crock of crap.
That having been said, RAM failures are exceedingly rare. Not at all like hard drives. Which is probably why most of it is lifetime guaranteed.

M4V is MP4.
Your post is vague. You need to post encoding settings and details on videos that work and videos that don't.No, it was not vague. However, it is possibly illegal. M4V is MP4 with Apple iTunes DRM as an option. The OP is asking about breaking DRMed files.

If I lived in the UK I'd subscribe to GoMINI but it is soooo expensive to get over here! It works out to be about $10USD per issue.
I wish imported magazines whould cost only $10USD here. :o
Anyway, I don't subscribe to anything, but there's two comics I usually buy every month; Pondus and Nemi.
I used to buy a lot more magazines earlier, and had a subscription to the norwegian edition of PC World, plus there were other magazines I also bought very often, but after I got internet access I barely buy anything anymore.
Exception whould be if I'm some place without good internet access.. last time I was in a hospital I bought magazines for about 1000NOK (~157$USD)
