According the the Apple site, the iPad will be on sale in their retail store at 5 PM. I guess I'll just order mine from the online store. I really don't want to sit in line for 12 hours.

It's kinda cold out here. I'm in the B&N still -- not sure when I'll go over to the Apple Store. I keep peeking out to see if there's a proper line.
Planning to meet some friends for lunch, so will pop away for a little bit after 12.

I would say sell/trade/move the Shuffle in place of the Nano. I am using a 30Gb Photo, love the thing to death but hesitate taking it running or swimming (jk), and I was about to buy a 1Gb Shuffle last week (checkout and all). Something stopped me, just the thought something else was coming and so I turned here to read a little more, voila the Nano appears and now I want one of those!
I say get one and find a new home for your shuffle, since they effectively can do the same things (flash-based reasoning) and not too different size-wise. Indulge, it's good for you :)

Have you ever seen a game - film crossover?
What did GeOW have? Fun gameplay and a bad story.
As a film? bwhaha. laughable. MGS film? A stealth game with over the top, cheesy cutscenes?! They had better not go through with the Metroid film too.
What they did to Doom will disgust me forever.

Yeah, MS fired a good one. However, I think people are far more likely to buy a $300 box to attach to their TV than a gaming system for digital media.
Gamers are more likely to use their gaming system for... well, for whatever. Apple has never paid much attention to gamers.
Everyone else, you're welcome to iTV.

Have you looked at PinPoint (http://www.macchampion.com/pinpoint_download.shtml) It's shareware ($10) and the default installation puts a red circle around your mouse if you leave it idle for a period of time or if you hit a hotkey. You get to set the time period and / or the hotkey.

Ws was the math to increase to retina display pixel density? 3800x2400 or something ridiculous? I don't see an iPhone equivalent retina display coming any time soon, or an iPad three. Why would they, it just gets cheaper to build and they are already MILES ahead....and honestly I hoped other people would catch up.
iOS 5 should correct some issues...mostly the damn notification system.

Some thoughts...
I've always thought that Boinx is a little brain dead when it comes to iStopmotion. The Home and Express editions are limited to 960x540 resolution. Why, when 1080p and 720p are so common in the consumer space now. Their Pro version handles 10,000x10,000! Also, you can't tell what your project is set to. One has to assume it matters since they have several settings upon creation and a limit on the size.
When you create a project, make sure you set that up correctly. You didn't say what your source is. High resolution images from a still digital camera perhaps? Is the ratio 4:3 or 3:2? You hinted it is 4:3. For the Preset, I would try Medium or Large, or maybe even custom if the size of your images are odd. I also think you should set the frame rate to what you expect to output.
Upon output, you can choose a very custom setup by using File-->"Export..."-->QuickTime Movie-->"Customize...". Under the "Setting..." tab, try the "Compression Type" of "Apple Intermediate Codec", Animation, "Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2", or perhaps H.264, or Video. If options aren't grayed out, match the frame rate to your project or try leaving it at "Current" and choose "Key Frames:" All. Those are options I'd try.
I notice they also have a "Send to iMovie" option. Did you try that too?
Remember, exporting to full HD makes no sense if you don't have the Pro version since it is limiting your project to less than that.
Another tool to try is QuickTime Player 7 Pro. It has a feature to import a sequence of images. Apple still charges for that 'Pro' feature.
Oh, and yet another thing to try. You said it looked good in iMovie already but is getting sluggish to playback in iMovie. You could try exporting to a high quality video and then importing that back in and using it in a new project. My thought is that iMovie might work better with a movie rather than a collection of images. I'm not sure how it stores those images, so this is a bit of a shot in the dark. Worth checking though. If it works out, do that for each scene.

Hi all,
today I purchased a stylus that's compatible for iPad and iphone..
It works perfectly on these devices, but somehow when I try to use it on trackpad of my macbook pro.....the cursor moves perfect except it won't perform the function of a "click"...
All it ends up doing is just moving the cursor which won't let me draw anything because it doesn't "click"...
I need help!!!

I know nothing is announced for Lion.
The upgrade for Snow Leopard is currently 26 on the UK store. I'm just wondering if it's typically around this price at launch, or if they launch at a high price then drop?

I am about to order 27'' i7, I still don't know if 1gb or 2gb video ram. I think vram is useful for virtualizing windows seven: 512mb vram for virtualbox, the rest for mac os x.
I changed 4 imacs i7 2010 because of yellow tinge issue. I live in Italy, so maybe Apple will send me an imac from the same stock of your one: did apple send it from cork, ireland?
I hope so
thank you!!
