At 10:30 this morning Bristol had a few white Verizon pads and a few black 16GB WiFi pads. Neither was what I was looking for. I went to MV, Spectrum, Fashion Isalnd, called Brea and Cerritos - all sold out. I am going back to Bristol for opening time tomorrow.

What product will the T-Mobile chic bash now???
You know how fickle women can be, so does it really matter?!
Oops, just made somebody's hit list. Let me rephrase that...
As a woman, the T-Mobile "chic" has the right to change her mind! Thus probably will bash Android Fragmentation! :D

I see that name, and I think of Dune, not HHGG. Ix is the planet where all the cool machines & gadgets are made.
Hah, very apt reference, if that's indeed what the ix refers to.

...Anyone heard anything on the "multi-touch" front lately?
I think the mouse may be killed in '07 by multi-touch innovations.

So, in conclusion - get the S530 instead!

I get about the same drop rate or worse in the DC Metro area. I also have friends on AT&T that have their text messages go to the wrong person. Thinking seriously of getting a Verizon BB and an iPod Touch to replace my iPhone. :(:(:( Sorry :apple:
That's so weird. I live in DC and for my job I drive all around the greater metro area. And I can't even remember ever dropping a single call.

The iPod is a good device, but for mature and affluent consumers, it's a neutered iPhone. They are good for kids and the shuffle is brilliant for exercise. After 10 years of age it is starting to be surpassed in the market by the tech it helped foster.
Why?
Because they are weirdo-trolls who think anyone cares.

If I may, because Amazon sells 12 bags cheaper (per unit) than any other store. About once every 4-6 months I buy 12 bags of Haribo Gummi Bears for under $14.00. If you were to buy a 5 oz bag in store, you'd be paying at least $2.99, on a super good day. For me though, I need to put them away someplace where I'll likely forget or I'll eat a bag a day in place of a meal.
Not exactly what I was going to say but hit the nail on the head. It's much cheaper than going to the store plus gas and time it's a no brainer when these can be waiting for me on my doorstep when I get home.
and also Amazon has EVERYTHING!

Imagine the iPhone 4 sitting in the 3GS position a year from now. It will be amazing you can get a phone like that for the price it will be available for...
The current 3GS with the cheapest plan you can get from AT&T would cost you 90% of what the same plan and a 4 would cost you.
Not sure what's amazing about that, and I'm pretty sure that when the 5 is out, the 4 will end up costing roughly the same.
Hardly amazing.
Unless you're math challenged.
Which anyone would be anyone who would consider such a deal for 3GS now or for a 4 when 5 is out.
Considering the number of 3GS still being sold, there's a lot of math challenged iOS users out there.

I, on the other hand, do have a daughter. And if I saw someone who was obviously transgendered (as opposed to 'obviously pedophile cross-dresser',) I would have no problem with them entering the ladies room at the same time as my daughter.
We don't have the complete story behind the video, just as we didn't have the complete story behind the Rodney King beating video up front; but on the face of it, this is a group of young women beating a transgendered person until she has a seizure. All the while, being egged on by the employees of the store.
Now, if the 'transgendered person' was really just a creepy crossdresser, someone who does not regularly self-identify as female, and exposed himself to the young women, then I would not have a problem with the young women defending themselves. But once it was out in the open part of the restaurant, with the 'offender' on the ground, that person is no longer a threat. And once they leave, any return to fight is purely wrong.
At best, the attackers had a legitimate complaint, and took it waaaaay too far. At worst, they committed felony assault as a hate crime.
Why are you equating "cross-dresser" and "pedophile"?
Also you do realize that gender roles and gender distinctions are purely socially constructed concepts that hold no real barring on reality.
Calling someone "creeeeepy" because they do not fit into your preconceived notion of gender is kind of ****ed up no?

The woman that was attacked? She's somebody's daughter.

Why concede? I think we are examining obesity pretty well as a group. Furthermore, the current level of obesity is really everyone's problem, as the level affects our society as a whole.
This lady in question though blows my mind as the article has framed it to appear that her goal is to gain weight. Perhaps the article misinterpreted what she meant.
I would agree that we have steered this conversation away from the "eeeewww she's a horrid, disgusting pig" comments to more abstract concepts. Kudos.
The article, like most articles about this particular woman, was quite sensationalized. Then again, the reporter didn't misinterpret by much, because this woman played along with it for a while (and has been in a feeder/feedee relationship for some time). Afterward, in an attempt at "damage control", she said that the thousand-pound thing was more of a fantasy than an attainable goal, but by then, the exaggerated perceptions about her had spread too far.
She hasn't been in the news in the past couple of months, however, so maybe she and her family can regain some level of normalcy.
There is another thing KnightWRX is right about in his last post: A good percentage of supersize people eat for reasons other than the love of food. They often get the signal that they're full, but ignore it. Food addiction does exist, and can be as difficult to manage as alcoholism or drug addiction.

But to answer your question, even if there were a legal restriction, there is definitely not any technical restriction that would prevent it from being installed in a VM anywhere.
What about Vista Authorization/Activation/Validation (whatever it's called).
You know, its the internet/telephone grovelling-for-permission-to-use-the-software part that comes after you've paid the latest installment of the Bill Gates friendship dues ... uh, I mean: purchased the new product.

Obviously Google has the same opinion as other Android fans... marketshare is king.
Although... in the business world... cash is king.
Congratulations Google... you now have a lot of marketshare. What are you gonna do with it?
Oh yeah... you're an advertising company. I forgot!
And thats just it.
Google hasn't found a way to capitalizes on its smart phone market share.
So even if they get 75% of the market and Apple keeps its 25%, in terms of revenue Apple is still going to "win".

Could someone clarify this for me: Aren't hard drives too slow to make use of Thunderbolt anyway? In a typical USB 2.0 external hard drive, what is the bottleneck in speed: The speed at which the hard drive spins, or the USB 2.0 connection? If it's the USB, then why do people even care about the RPM of a drive? If it's the RPM, then isn't USB 2.0 fast enough to run a hard drive at its native speed?
Look forward to thunderbolt hub. USB 3.0, esata and a DisplayPort daisy chain.
What he said. You can get adaptors for different things, plus daisy chain multiple devices together. One device may not be able to use the whole TB bandwidth, but if you add a bunch of accessories to the same port, it'll add up. Right now, the only single device that might be able to utilize the whole bandwidth would be a RAID array and other high-end stuff. But as SSDs come more common & speed up, we'll see TB being more useful. This definitely won't happen overnight, no matter how much some of us might hope.

That is why iPhone (4) sales will remain close to zero until the iPhone 5 introduction. A white iPhone 4 will not change that very much.
????? When did this happen? You do realize that 99% of consumers don't follow this stuff that close and have no idea when products are released.
